ZENZERO is a physical theater and music collective.
Anna Lisa Grebe and Andrina Hauri met – and grew fond of each other – while studying physical theater (BA and MA) at the Accademia Dimitri. Their ginger hair wasn’t the only reason they found each other, though. Ingwer, Schentsch, Zenzero – they like it rooted and spicy, sometimes with plenty of pepper and a big BAM! Extravagance and fire for the main course too? Yes, please.
Ideas sparked together grew into a range of performances, which ZENZERO has presented in recent years at theaters, bars and events in Germany and Switzerland.

Performative conzert

“APFELKOTZE – ein Schneewittchenfragment” is a performative concert that takes the dusty old Snow White tale, with all its gender roles, stereotypes and fairy-tale clichés, and puts it right through the meat grinder.
With humour, music and movement, Andrina Hauri and Anna Lisa Grebe take on the story of the beauty who only seems to be dead, and put the Brothers Grimm’s version to the test. You are warmly invited into our glass coffin, beyond the seven mountains [that’s how far the two princesses rode to finally, finally get some peace and snore].
It’ll be beautiful. And it’s going to bang.
Fancy an apple?
Let yourself be whisked away into a modern fairy tale.

A theater piece full of movement, with original soundscapes, tracing the departure of the French painter Françoise Gilot.
Gilot dared to break with the norms and expectations society placed on women; with Pablo Picasso, who manipulated her and tried to bind her to him until the very last moment; with an artistic environment that inspired her; with the financial security and fame that came with being Picasso’s partner; and with public popularity.
Gilot dared to set out on a new chapter of her life: independent, alone and free. In doing so, she lived up to the name Picasso gave her: “La femme qui dit non” – the woman who says no.
